My birthday is not until Friday but since everyone will be busy then, we decided to have an early get together and enjoy some friendly rounds of washers and great food.  It was a great time with family and friends.  Jeremy and Mary even got me a Winchester hat and shirt....gotta love those family perks!!

Our festivities we greatly changed from what we had intended and planned but as a family we still found things to do and ended up still having a good time.  We had BBQs, fireworks, friends & family...and that's all we need.  The weekend's not even over yet, and we still have so much to do so maybe there will be a next round of pictures still.

Granted it, we may have been celebrating El Dio de Padres, it's also close enough to Jeremy's birthday that we celebrated it as well.  That's right...he's gonna be the big 28 this year...oh so young still and yet so successful and happy.  It was a good time getting together as always with the family out in Alton and the food was of course always better than par.  We even got to play a little bit of washers...Dylen was so cute!

Whewww...what a weekend...from Alton to Wentzville, but hey, we had fun!  We started off the morning at Jeremy & Mary's house in Alton.  Breakfast, a parade and good hang out time to start the day off.  Then we made our way out to Wentzville for a fun filled afternoon of hot wings and Rock Band.  Of course we had to bring out own drumsticks though since Tyler broke the last set, haha...but it's all good...that just means he's a rocker by nature!

It's been a long road, and to be quite honest, I wasn't sure if she would make it...she barely skimmed by in that molecular biology class with a D, and world history really gave her a run for her money....oh wait, that was my high school career.....hmmm. 
Anyways, Rhyen has officially graduated kindergarten and is moving on to the 1st grade....yaaaaah!  She had a really wonderful teacher this year and we heard nothing but praises from her about Rhyen.  We are so proud of you sweetie and know that you will go on to do even greater things in your school years to come!!  I love you Rhyen!

This year we decided to have a little breakfast festivity before everyone went to church, and it was at my house.  Mary made a really good breakfast egg casserole (in fact I kept the left overs and finished it off the next day).  We didn't really DO anything special, but we spent it together as a family and enjoyed our time together as we always do.

Our good friend, Christina, started coming to our church awhile ago, and I think has always felt the need to give her life to God.  However it wasn't until she started coming to our bible study WHY> group on Mondays that she felt the heat of God's fastball.  So after 4 weeks of asking questions, seeking God's will, and really surrendering herself...she asked to be baptized.  It was such a great experience for her, and even me since she asked that I be the one to do it.
