Well, it's about that time I suppose.  This past weekend we went out and got our Christmas tree.  Dylen wasn't really happy about it though because it was so cold...but she got over it quickly when she got to decorate it.  Then the other night we took a few pictures in front of the tree while in our pajamas.  Enjoy!

I was bored, so I made a little video of Drake eating some crickets.  The ole bugger is getting a little slow in his old age but he can still get 'em!

There are few bands in this world that prove themselves worthy of a 30 year stint in the lime light...Metallica however, proves it over and over and over that they deserve every ounce of success they receive!  Jeremy and I were lucky enough to see one of the greatest rock bands of all time...certainly the best in thrash metal in my eyes.  We had a great time, although, the first two bands sucked big time....buncha posers!

Thanks to Tiffany Henning for letting me know, but Bass Pro Shop has their very own little Christmas village.  Santa comes to sit with kids and they even take pictures and give you a 4x6 for free.  They had some games and activities for the kids, so it was really nice.  We went with the Hennings, but Aubrey wasn't having much luck sitting on Santa's lap...but that wasn't too surprising considering that this is the first year Dylen sat on Santa's lap without crying either.  Check out the pictures.

4 years ago this month, one of my friends from Madison passed away after spending 9 months in a coma sustained from an injury in Iraq when his humvee rolled over a roadside bomb.  SSGT Chad Simon was a man of integrity, honor and bravery.  He died serving his country in a way that very few will ever even come close to understanding.  In honor of Veterans Day yesterday and out of respect for Chad's heroism, the local news channel in Madison aired a special video interview they had with his son Dylan.  I will warn you now....I cried hard sitting at my desk at work.  Please, never forget the men and women that have served this country to their last dying breath.

Another Halloween has come and gone....can't believe it's been here already.  The girls had pretty god costumes this year...and let me reassure you that I had NOTHING to do with them....I showed them what the selection was and THIS is what they picked out.  Although I can't really say there's anything wrong with them, but some people think they should be more girly...well, girly or not, I love them to death!!

This past summer Mom and Dad spent about 9 days traveling on the motorcycle with their closest friends.  Last year on the same trip with their friends, my Uncle Don and Aunt Judy also went.  However this year, my cousin Donna from Arizona had gone to Michigan to visit them with her new daughter, so Uncle Don and Aunt Judy opted to stay home and spend time with their new grand daughter.  Read on for the good stuff....

It's that time of year again...we're not allowed to talk about it, but we all know it's here.  It's mom's birthday.  But you know how women are....you can't talk about their age...so we'll just leave it at that.  Mom is the perfect age.  We all met at Blueberry Hill in the loop on Delmar...good time as always.  We even did our Christmas drawing for names...this is the first year we decided to do it this way...I guess we figured it would be easier this way.

Today, "Jake's on Main" held the first ever Life is Good Festival.  It only went from 10am-6pm today.  I wasn't really sure what it was all about but turns out, it has alot to do with kids.  By the time the girls and I walked down there, most of it was over.  Apparently they work with children on increasing awareness for creating "joy" in their lives.  Either way, I got some good pictures of the girls...they're so beautiful.
