As we come to the close of 2006, I gotta say, I'm not unhappy about it. Some of us get sad around this time because it means another year is shaved off of our lives, and some are happy because it gives a chance for a new start, a new beginning. Yep...that's right, my little brother has finally decided to make his relationship with Mary final. He has asked her to marry him and she has said yes!! We are so happy for the both of them and wish them all the happiness in the world! It's hard to believe that my little brother, the same guy who 20 years ago, swore with me that we would never get married and now here we are...me married and two kids and him close behind...funny how a good woman can change your mind. We love you both and congratulations!! |

The tradition goes that Saint Nicholas was the Giver of Gifts. He was knownfor secret gift giving. He died on December 6th of 343 AD and was the Bishop of Myra. Since his death, his existence has become relished with the likes of Santa Claus and are often confused. However, the real St. Nicholas tradition is that he comes on December 6th and fills the stockings of little boys and girls. He is not the same as Santa Claus and so does not leave big extravegant gifts, but rather just little stocking stuffers that put a smile on your face. |
