Yes, that's right...under the gun and gambled to be swept by the Tigers, the emerging Cardinals came out on top as the World Champions for 2006. It was definitely an interesting series with the weather issues here in St. Louis, but I gotta be honest with you...I think if the Tigers had not gotten so much rest and were possibly a little less cocky going into this series, they may have won. I'm not gonna babble on too much, but my thoughts are this; the Tigers had some very key errors that were positive and critical clinches for the Cards....without those errors, I don't know that the Cards would have won so easily. In any event, we do congratulate the Cardinals on their victory as the 2006 World Champions! |

Many of you know that I have been a die-hard fanatical Yankees fan since I was 7 years old. Obviously with the latest events of the Yankees being beaten by my hometown Detroit Tigers I was a little distraught, but not nearly as much as when I heard the news of Yankees pitcher, Corey Lidle, died in a plane crash earlier today. As much as I hate to say it, it's almost a good thing that the Yanks didn't make it to the ALCS playoffs, because an event like this would suffer the team an incredible blow thus causing some possibly "not at par" play in a very clinching time. Not that my thoughts or comments make a difference, but I do send out my prayers and thoughts to Corey's family as well as the other passenger in the plane. |

After all these years, Stu & Michelle tied the knot this past weekend. It was a great weekend filled with family fun and lots (5 kegs worth) of beer. It was a beautiful ceremony at a very small country church with a big reception (close to 300 I believe). The couple left on Monday and by now are sitting, wasting away on the sunny beaches of Jamaica. From the Mills family to you Stu & Michelle...we wish you congratulations and many years of happiness! |
